WHEELZ is an exploration of automobiles the world over: their existence, use, resilience, reflection of one’s identity, and ultimately their decay and disposal. For better or worse, more often worse, much of the world was either built around or retrofitted for automobiles. They are a marker of this time, a right of passage for many, and one of the largest environmental destructors for all. As we transition towards electric vehicles and move away from combustion, these vehicles will slowly become less ubiquitous and more memories. This ongoing project is a documentation of this moment of transition in culture.
